Following its horrific terror attack on October 7, Hamas has continued to show disregard for the welfare of Palestinians in Gaza, while touting itself as the only group able to take on Israel. Against this backdrop, a recent poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR) revealed that in the West Bank and Gaza, Hamas’ popularity has risen since its October 7 attack against Israel, while support for the Palestinian Authority, its President Mahmoud Abbas, and his Fatah party has descended to new lows.
