Frank Lowenstein

Frank Lowenstein served as the Special Envoy for Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations and Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State. From 2009 to 2011, Lowenstein served as Staff Director and Chief Counsel of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. From 2005 to 2008, he served as Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to then-Senator John Kerry and directed the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Near East and South and Central Asian Affairs. From 2003 to 2004, Lowenstein was Director of National Security Policy on the Kerry-Edwards presidential campaign. He also served as a Legislative Assistant for Foreign Policy and Defense issues for Senator J. Robert Kerrey from 1990 to 1994. Lowenstein received a BA from Yale University in 1990 and a JD from Boston College Law School in 1997.
