In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, and in response to the deteriorating situation in Israel and the Palestinian territory, J Street, Ameinu, Americans for Peace Now, the New Israel Fund, and T’ruah released a shared statement of principles guiding our work in this urgent moment.
On the day of the 20th anniversary of Rabin’s assassination, J Street’s President Jeremy Ben-Ami and the leaders of our partner organizations — Debra Delee from Americans for Peace Now, Ken Bob from Ameinu, Daniel Sokatch from the New Israel Fund and Rabbi Jill Jacobs from T’ruah — participated in a conversation moderated by J.J. Goldberg, where they discussed our movement’s role in insisting on responsible leadership from the American Jewish community, and the importance of taking joint action in support of the two-state solution.
